By Valerie Sharp

Hello Folks and Merry Christmas and a very happy new year for 2007.
Well, its that time of the year that we are so busy that we can’t seem to even find time to sit down but it is also that time of the year for presents!
So here is a lovely gift for your fellow dog lovers, find a lovely glass Jar, and fill with the following recipe, tie with a pretty ribbon bow, and in the bow put a dog bone cookie cutter.

Dog Jar Cookie Recipe and Directions
Multi-Grain Biscuits
In a bowl mix1 ½ cups white flour1 cup whole wheat Flour½ cup of powdered Skim Milk½ cup wheat germ
Mix well and put into a pretty glass jar, with instructions to add1 cup Water1 egg

In a large Bowl mix all ingredients. Knead on a floured surface, Roll out and cut into half inch stripes, you can make thin cookies (Roll about 1/8th thick, normal thick, 1/4th inch thick and for thick cookies, ½ inch thick) or if it comes with doggy bone cookie cutter, use it instead.

Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 40-45 min, then turn off oven and let sit for a min of 4 hours or overnight to harden.

Extra’s that can be added. Add only one per batch
½ cup of parmesan cheese
½ cup of chicken cooked and shredded
½ cup grated carrots
½ cup grated apple

Enjoy and everyone have a great winter.
