The BAER test is a non-surgical procedure that can detect deafness in either one or both ears. Given that the Icelandic Sheepdog can have high levels of white up into pieds, it is a very good idea to consider testing your Icelandic’s with BAER testing if at all possible.

The CISC will encourage all their CISC breeders that are breeding Icelandic’s in the higher levels of the S factors to consider getting their dogs and puppies tested.
