Membership Renewals Due for 2007

Hello Folks

The CISC memberships run from the end of Janurary to the end of Dec regardless of when you join the club, the club membership renewal application is published four times a year in the CISC newsletter at the end of Club business, it is also posted once a month on the Yahoo Chat Group as well as being available on the club website.

It has been noted at this time that a few of folks have not renewed their 2007 club memberships and this would mean that without renewal, no more wonderful CISC newsletters will be arriving in your mail box, nor would yoube eligable to earn CISC club awards or titles.

We encourage everyone to consider renewing their memberships.

As of April 30th, if you have not renewed your membership all club listings on the website will be removed!

Starting March 1st of 2008, we will be using the two months mark as a cut off period for renewals from there on in. Ifyou do not renew within the first two months of the new year, your membership will be considered new.

All Breeder listings must have a current and paid membership to have their dogs listed.

The board would like to put forth the new club membership of a "pet owner membership" for ten dollars canadian, that means the members get all e-newsletters and can send in all their brags and dog photos etc, but are not voting members,

We also think this is a great offer to be used for our club breeders, this would allow you to get a years membership for your puppy owners at half price if you desire. Breeders are also welcome to get the full 20 dollar single voting membership if they perfer.

It has recently come to our attention that in the future, when we move forward to earn formal CKC national club status, (which is not possible until we have membership within more of the CKC's official regions of Canada, anyone out there in Altantic Canada, looking at our breed, please contact our breeders and we would love to help you get a wonderful ISD into your home and lives) that all our club members at that time must have CKC membership as well.

At this time, we do not require our regular members to also have CKC membership. However in the future when the time does come to move the breed club forward, membership will either need to join CKC in order to be a member of the CISC or they will need to let their membership lapse during the accreditation process.

The CKC considers having all club members part of the CKC, a move of good faith on behalf of the club, its our understanding that after we get full approval, that the club will again have the option of allowing memberships without needing them to have CKC memberships.

It is an exciting year ahead of us in the CISC, and we look forward to sharing it with you. Please come out and Support our Four Day Icelandic Sheepdog Gathering and Booster event in Calgary, Alberta in Aug of 2007.

Hello Folks, The CISC is actively looking for folks to join and work on our different Committee's, Requirements are CISC member, with a CKC membership in good standing, a keen interest in working with CKC registered Purebred Icelandic Sheepdogs. Hello Folks,

Looking for a great gift for a Icelandic Sheepdog Lover? How about a years membership to the CISC, our newletter is jammed full of amazing information for all kinds of folks, we try hard to have things of interest for pet folks, as well as for Show and Breeders.

Interested in Showing, then you will want to be a member to compete for Top Icelandic Dog Awards.

Looking for a bit more in the dog Sports end of things, don't worry the club also has awareds for Therapy dogs, and Top Dogs in all events.

Club Breeders, consider giving a years club membership with your new puppies, its a wonderful way to introduce your new owners to the world of Icelandic Sheepdogs in Canada.

The club has created a very cute gift card, and I did it in a program to be sent by email so that the club breeders will be able to print it off and include in the puppy packages, or in a stocking or Birthday card, basket with flowers, you get the idea.

Club memberships run from Jan 1st to the end of Dec per year. Renewal notices are sent in the newsletters and on the yahoo chat group.
